BUS RULES

  • Obey all bus rules, as may be communicated by the bus staff, office manager, our website or communication groups, bus committee, local bodies, school personnel, school assemblies and other means.

  • It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure their students arrive safely at the assigned bus stops. In the morning, parents / guardians are required to stay at the bus stop until the bus departs with your student. Parents/guardians must make arrangements to receive students when they are returned to their bus stops at the end of the day. 

  • A student using the school bus is expected to be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled arrival of the bus. The student has to be on the correct side of the arriving bus. The scheduled pick-up time is available with our office manager/website. Bus committee reserves the right to alter the timings, routes and stops as and when necessary.

  • Parents are requested not to board school buses to see off or receive their wards.

  • The buses will not wait for latecomers. Please do not call the bus staff and ask them to wait. Parents should not try to overtake and stop the School bus to facilitate the boarding of their wards as this endangers the safety of the bus and its occupants. 

  • Parents should not argue with the bus support staff / driver. If there is any problem, it should be informed to office manger [96 333 555 72] and/or respective route manager. Further escalation can be done to the Secretary of the bus committee,

  • If any parent whose child is availing school transport service wishes to take their ward privately in his/her own transport, he/she has to inform office manager/respective bus staff well in advance.

  • Under any circumstances, students are not allowed to go behind or under the parked buses within the school campus. Students are also not allowed to sit in the parked buses during school hours.

  • Students are allowed to use only the allotted bus and bus stop. No change can be allowed without prior permission from bus committee.

  • If a student misses his allotted bus he should not try to board any other bus. It is the responsibility of the parents to drop off their wards to the school. However the student will return by the allotted bus.

  • Students should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives. Continue to stand back until the bus has arrived, stopped and opened its door.

  • Boarding and alighting from buses should be done in an orderly manner. At the time of alighting, no student should come near the entry door of the bus until it comes to a complete halt. The front door of the bus is the only authorised entrance and exit.

  • All students must occupy vacant seats immediately after boarding their respective buses. Reservation of seats for co-commuters are not allowed under any circumstances.

  • No student should travel standing on the footboard.

  • The students must make sure that the aisle of the bus is clear, school bags and other belongings are placed properly.

  • Respect the window boundary:  No body parts protruding. No items tossed.

  • Respect other riders' personal space: No physical or verbal attacks.  No taunts. No harassment.  No bullying. Students will refrain from using loud voices, profanity, and/or obscene gestures. 

  • Do not disrupt the driver and/or support staff with your voice or actions.

  • Do not tamper with bus controls, emergency exits or safety equipment.

  • Do not compromise the safety or well-being of others. Do not bring any hazardous or destructive objects, dangerous goods. animals or any controlled substances on the bus.

  • Do not litter or deface the bus. 

  • The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason. Parents are not allowed to call the driver when he is driving the bus. 

  • The drivers are authorised to stop buses at the designated stops only. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters and is always subject to change.

  • Bus support staff is responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offence must be reported to the office manager / bus committee immediately. Follow all instructions, which may address behaviour, seat selection and other safety and welfare matters.

  • In case of any change, of a temporary or permanent nature, in transport pick-up / drop point or transport route, the permission for the same has to be sought by discussing with office manager. 

  • Parents have to ensure that their wards do not go to and fro from bus stops unescorted.

  • Fees will be charged for 10 months irrespective of usage. It is collected on monthly basis as advance fee for that month. If the dues exceeds caution deposit, bus committee  has the rights to terminate the service to that user. 

  • Must read an understand the points mentioned in Admission Steps section.

  • Bus services will be discontinued without further notice for children who do not follow bus rules, engage in any dangerous act, damage accessories in the bus, offend other users of the bus, bus staff or  passers – by with their actions or words.

  • If any student is reported to be throwing objects outside from the school bus, strict disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.

  • Do not hand over bus fee to bus staff. Please complete the fee payment using our online fee payment portal or visiting our office on regular working hours.

  • No withdrawal would be considered without prior written one month clear intimation.

  • Bus committee has the rights to add, delete or edit any of the rules.
